MusicInterviewsNow.com presents EXPOSED

Despite the turnout, this was an unbelievable bill...and what caught us off guard was that the true fans actually traveled hundreds of miles to a small town show to show their appreciation and support.

The night started off with a Chicago land band, EARLY APRIL, who should be on the radio right now.  Immediately the crowd came front and center, as they were capitvated by the wicked drum licks of Roger Reyes, the original guitar playing of Adam Pilarczyk, the punching baseline of Jason "Goat" Henricy, and the mezmerizing vocals of Ed Larson.

As the night played out, we had back to back bands that traveled a long way...PHEEN from Ft. Wayne, IN, and Evil Engine 9 from Louisville, KY...each putting on a solid performance with memorable vocals and amazing guitar playing.

The last two bands are some of the most recognized bands featured in the Chicago circuit...Seven Day Sonnet and Heart-Set Self Destruct.  Both of these bands will celebrate their CD release together, at The Metro on July 18, 2009.

Seven Day Sonnet came out as if they had played their whole lives, delivering an amazing performance.  Their set was immaculant, honed, and precise.  You could feel their emotion as each member was perfectly in sync with each other, blasting powerful guitar pieces and vocals from the stage.  Dan Kashuck put on one of the most memorable drumming performances that I have seen live, as well as a jaw dropping vocal performace by Ben VanBuskirk.  Jordon Popp and Anthony Lojeski rounded it out by laying down "guitar hero" size riffs.  If you haven't seen this band live, I highly recommend you find them at a venue near you.  It won't be long before everyone knows who Seven Day Sonnet is...

Closing out the night was Heart-Set Self Destruct...the first word that comes to mind when they are thought of is SEASONED...Their stage presence is powerful, pulling the fans in with incredible vocals, and a musically solid performance that has not gone un-noticed.  These guys are regulars on the Local 101, a show on Sundays presented by Chicago's Q101.1.  Just like all of these amazing musicians, it's only a matter of time before these bands are known everywhere, and I am honored and proud to have been able to present such an amazing lineup.
