Friday, January 29, 2010 at 11:02PM I have been very privileged to have befriended some great people at a new and fresh record company, CARTEL. This is where it's at for the future of up and coming stars, and one of them took some time out of his day to give me a call: Really Doe. Doe's style is so unique and fresh, with strong hooks and flowing lyrics. He was and still says he is a student of the game, most notably under the tutelage of Kanye West. Check out the MusicInterviewsNow exclusive interview with Chicago's very own, and be sure to check out his album, First Impressions, available at Best Buy and iTunes.

Friday, January 22, 2010 at 5:47PM It was time I caught up with Sam Loeffler, drummer of Chevelle. Eight months had gone by since the band last updated me on their new album, Sci-Fi Crimes. They hadn't yet picked out a name, and they had just finished up in the studio. Sam caught me up on their new tour plans, which includes select dates with Breaking Benjamin and Sick Puppies, as well as RED. A couple months back, the band played on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, so of course I had to ask what he thought of Conan O'Brien's ordeal...check out the interview, and make sure you check out Chevelle's tour dates.

Guitarist Anthony Armstrong of RED discusses the band's second Grammy nomination with Randy of MusicInterviewsNow.com, as well as their current headlining tour, and being endorsed by PRS Guitars. He also takes the time to answer a few fan questions, and talks about what's next for RED. Their latest album, Innocence and Instinct is available now!

On January 19th, LiLA's self-titled debut album drops on iTunes...the band took the time to chat with MusicInterviewsNow to talk about the album, and the blood, sweat, and tears that went into it. This is a remarkable band, unlike anything you have heard in some time. Ladies and Gentlemen, Lost in L.A.

FAMILY FORCE FIVE WRAPS UP A WILDLY SUCCESSFUL 2009
Starting 2010 with Song Chosen for Disney’s “Alice In Wonderland” Movie out March 5th
[New York, NY – January 7, 2010] – Electro rockers FAMILY FORCE FIVE are stepping into 2010 with loads of excitement for the auspicious New Year. With tons of milestones to be excited about this past year, the band is eagerly planning what lies ahead.
Let’s take a look back at some of the noteworthy successes of 2009:
The release of “Dance or Die” in 2009 and the remix album “Dance or Die With a Vengeance” has scanned over 100,000 units on the bands Transparent Media Group label, while the “Dance Rawr Dance” and “Christmas Pageant” Fall/Winter tours created over-the-top experiences for hundreds of thousands of fans nationwide. Those same fans have increased the MySpace friend count to 300,000, 60,000+ on Facebook, and 70,000 Twitter followers – not to mention over 26 MILLION plays to date on MySpace alone!
In addition, Alternative Press fully embraced Family Force Five this past year with multiple amazing moments including an offer to co-headline the Alternative Press Tour- which sold out 42 markets this past Spring. They were named by AP as one of the “Records to Watch for in 2010” and received numerous nominations/awards in the 2009 Alternative Press Readers Poll including “Best Live Band of 2009” (beating out Blink-182!), #2 Video of the Year with “Dance or Die” (beating out Paramore), and the #2 “B-Side” of 2009 with “Keep The Party Alive” which was featured in an exclusive deal with Target this past Halloween.
In the UK, Family Force Five SOLD OUT both The Underground and The Academy 3 in London and Manchester respectively, despite never having released an album in the UK! Popular UK magazine Kerrang! was in the audience at one of the shows and was so impressed that they closed out 2009 with an exclusive Family Force 5 photo shoot and full page spread in their 2009 “Introducing the Bands” section.
AND JUST RECENTLY the group was asked to record for Disney’s “Alice In Wonderland” – directed by Tim Burton – which led to the production of “Topsy Turvy,” a mid-tempo track to be featured on the movie’s soundtrack, which is predicted to be one of the most popular soundtracks of the year.
It certainly has been a great year for Family Force 5 and the path is paved for an even greater amount of success in the New Year. Let’s just say, Family Force 5 will definitely “Keep the Party Alive” in 2010…

Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 9:39AM It was a sad day for me when Mancow's Morning Madhouse went off the air...not because of Mancow himself, but because of his staff...I always wondered who was behind the funny ass voices, and where that crew went. Well, after following closely to the Chicago radio and music scene, I have finally found him. Some of you may already know this, but I guess I didn't look hard enough. Abe Kanan was the man behind Magellon, Philthy Gumz, Dexter W. Montgomery, Friggin Pete and his cigarette, and a host of others. Check out Abe at his website, and check out his weekly podcast. He is still doing the phone scams, and has his own crew...funny as hell!
Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 8:16AM From MusicInterviewsNow.com, we wish only the best to the band and the family of Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan.

Take a look at our very first interview...Theory of a Deadman. This was a great way to start off our site, and get a sneak peak at a band before they took over the rock scene for the better part of a year.

THE HOLIDAYS BRING MORE OPTION PARALYSIS
THE DETAILS BECOME CLEAR ON THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN’S UPCOMING ALBUM
Morris Plains, NJ – (December 15, 2009)– Critically acclaimed rockers, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, are readying the debut of OPTION PARALYSIS, their first release for their brand new label PARTY SMASHER INC / SEASON OF MIST. The opus, recorded in Orange County, CA with longtime collaborator / producer Steve Evetts (The Used, Glassjaw, Every Time I Die) , will be officially available on March 23, 2010.
THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN ‘s previous work has been praised nearly universally by press worldwide “If you really want to know (their) songs,” says The New York Times “…you have to listen repeatedly and concentrate” calling them “extreme musical craft.”
Song titles announced thus far have been “Good Neighbor,” “Farewell, Mona Lisa,” “Crystal Morning” and “Gold Teeth On A Bum.” One of the latest titles put forth is “I Wouldn’t If You Didn’t” which guitarist Ben Weinman says was “…one of the last we wrote for the record. CHEVELLE Set to Release Second Single
“Letter From A Thief” Off Sci-Fi Crimes
New Video to Debut on VEVO December 18th
2010 Winter Tour to Kick Off February 4th
New York, NY- Multi-platinum recording artists Chevelle are proud to announce the release of “Letter From A Thief” as the second single off their new album Sci-Fi Crimes. Chevelle debuted “Letter From A Thief” on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon while it hit radio on December 8th as the follow-up to their extremely successful single “Jars”. After just wrapping up the fall Sci-Fi Crimes Tour, Chevelle are excited to hit the road again this winter in support of “Letter From A Thief” kicking off on February 4th, 2010 in Erie, PA and covering 12 cities across the US wrapping up the first leg in their hometown of Chicago on February 20th, 2010.
Acclaimed director P.R. Brown (Mötley Crüe, Korn, Godsmack) has brought his creative vision to the video for “Letter From A Thief” by filming the band with a new experimental format that he created to express the intensity of the song in a whole new way. He states, “I want to shed the typical cliché’s of how to capture a performance and push this piece into an art form.” By using a groundbreaking technique with multiple handheld HD cameras, P.R. Brown’s vision for “Letter From A Thief” will highlight the beautiful musical and emotional layers of the song. Chevelle shot the video on November 30th and it will make its debut this Friday, December 18th on VEVO.
The Chicago-based band recently released their highly-anticipated 5th studio album Sci-Fi Crimes on August 31st. The album debuted at #6 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart marking the highest chart debut in the band’s history. The first single off of the album, “Jars”, has continued the bands incredible 10-year streak of dominating modern rock radio. The song marks Chevelle’s 10th hit to attain Top 20 status at radio where it shot to the #2 spot on the Active Rock Chart. December started off on a great foot with a refreshing call from the front woman of the hard rock band: Picture Me Broken. Layla Allman (yes, that's right...an Allman) took the time to give me a call and discuss their EP, Dearest, I'm So Sorry. We also got to touch on the fact that she's only 16 and living it up, has played with the likes of Linkin Park, and the fact that they even won a VMA.
